Jim Graduated from Cal Poly, Pomona in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture. (BSLA). Jim has had the fortune of working for the City of Rancho Cucamonga as an Assistant Park Planner and was involved in helping to create the city's park system. Jim then worked for a the landscape architectural firm Recreation Systems Inc. (RSI) and designed Liberty Park in Cerritos, Ca. (CPRS Honor award).
Jim achieved his licensure in the State of California in 1989. and his licensure in the State of Arizona in 2005
After meeting his wife of now over 32 years, Jim worked at the a highly regarded firm in San Diego for 7 years prior to starting JPBLA. During those 7 years Jim had the pleasure of working on a variety of projects such as the San Diego Wild Animal Park Mombasa Plaza and the several other areas at the San Diego Zoo, Several Leisure projects in the USA Territory of Guam, The Cemetery Expansion at the Mission San Luis Rey, and the Rail Stations in Encinitas and the Pedely Limonate Station in Riverside County. (CALTRANS Honor Award Winner).
Jim Started JPBLA in 1994 and incorporated in 2000. Jim continues to enjoy creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
